Water School
About the project
The Escola d'Água project is part of the international Swarovski Waterschool program, implemented in Santarém in 2014, in partnership with the Earth Child Institute. From 2017-2021, the project started to be executed and coordinated by the Mureru Eco Amazônia Institute and advanced to 45 pole schools and 25 partner schools. The initiative aims to inspire present and future generations to practice the sustainable use of water, ensuring health and availability of clean water for all.
Since 2014, we have impacted 20,028 students and 1,102 education professionals.
Over the years, various activities have been carried out, such as: installation of brushes and hand washing stations, workshops for the production of filters and ecological septic tanks, holding the "Festival Escola D'água", "Feira Ambiental", production of documentaries and training seminars, among others.
As of 2022, Escola D'água will be carried out through a partnership between Instituto Mureru Eco Amazônia and Fundação Amazônia Sustentável - FAS. The initiative currently includes 10 pole schools and 3 partner schools.
