ABOUT US
The Mureru Eco Amazônia Institute (IMEA), founded in 2016, is a civil association, of a socio-environmental, cultural, educational and philanthropic nature, with objectives focused on environmental conservation and sustainable development; the incentive to Environmental Education; the protection of traditional populations and the guarantee of human rights.
IMEA operates mainly in the area of Educommunication, aiming at training leaders and youth protagonism. It also works to train teachers, children and young people to think and act globally and locally, contributing to the environmental sustainability of the Amazon and the planet. It is currently coordinating two projects: "Water School" (Escola D'água) and "Território Transformador do Tapajós".
